About

Based in South Devon (UK), the South West Flight Simulation Group is a non-profit gathering of flight simulation enthusiasts.

We come together at Ipplepen Village Hall near Newton Abbot once a month - on Sundays between 10am and 4pm from September to June.

How the club works

The group operates as an informal club and while there is no membership fee, admission to each meeting is charged at £5.00 per person to cover the hire of the hall and provision of refreshments.

Current attendance is around 30 members each meeting and new members are always welcome. You do not need to pre-book attendance but a call or email is always welcome.

How the meetings work

The group is an open forum to share knowledge and experience as well as a chance to see some of the wealth of Flight Simulation additions used by our members, compare hardware, and so on. Many of the more local members bring their own PC setups, some of which are quite extensive (!). In addition, the group has it’s own kit to which many donate/sell unused parts.

Approximately 20 minutes are allocated at midday for a group discussion where future format is discussed along with meeting dates and news relevant to the group and flight simulation in general.

The gatherings are very informal with plenty of opportunity to chat to fellow members. Guest speakers are often invited and always welcome (usually taking the format of a short demonstration and questions & answers session).
